DSLR/ SLR – Still Photography – Informational - Monitor with ability to control DLSR camera
PROBLEM
Do you offer a monitor for use with photos? I'm looking for a monitor with touch focus and shutter release.
SOLUTION
The Focus series would probably work well for you for shooting stills, if you are shooting outdoors we would recommend having a sunhood and the anti reflective (matte) screen protector. These are touchscreen models. The 500 and 700 series have a joystick control. So if you are working in adverse weather conditions this is something to consider.
The monitors will receive signal out from your camera and have tools built in that allow for things like monitoring highlight, focus peaking, histogram and waveform scopes etc. You can also apply any looks or Luts ( tone, sepia, monochrome etc) to get an idea of how the image will look when its processed.
You can review full res images as well on playback. You can zoom in on the images and move around just as you would on the LCD on the camera. Many cameras do not output full res when in live view, so this will vary depending on the model.
Currently we do not have any control function interactions with the cameras, this is only a monitor, it is like a large viewfinder, allowing you to better see what your lens is seeing. Any smart functions of the camera will remain on its respective control center, either button or interactive screen.
We hope this helps. Please feel free to reach back out and let us know if you have any more questions.
