All Models – SmallHD – Specifications – 4K Resolution
My camera is recording in 4K but I can’t see it on my monitor.
Currently only SmallHD touchscreen monitors (the FOCUS and Cine 7 family of monitors and the 702 Touch) support 4K, and they only support UltraHD 4K (3840×2160) at up to 30 frames per second over HDMI. DCI 4K (4096×2160, 3996×2160, or 4096×1716) resolutions are not supported at all. Similarly, 4K over SDI is not supported at all as current monitors only have 3G SDI connections instead of the required 12G SDI connections. If you are working at a resolution that is not supported by the monitor, most cameras have settings that allow the video output to be a lower resolution than the internal recording. Look at your camera’s Output Settings, HDMI Output Settings, or SDI Output Settings and search for an option to adjust the output resolution to 1920×1080.
