All models – SmallHD – Guide/Manual – How to use the Anamorphic Tool
PROBLEM
Anamorphic lenses are becoming increasingly popular but the image that gets displayed on the monitor screen is the stretched image that is not what the final post image will look like. Having an anamorphic desqueeze setting on the monitor allows you to see a more finalized image while you are shooting.
SOLUTION
In the SmallHD menu, there is a setting called “Anamorphic”. In it, the user has the option to desqueeze the image in the following increments: 0.75x, (4:3), 1x, 1.33x, 1.5x, 1.66x, 2x, and 2.5x.
In Firmware 3.5+ this is now a tool. Please see the information in the Guide: http://guide.smallhd.com/
