Screen Protector – SmallHD – Instructional - Tips for Screen protector install
Tring to put on the screen protector, the screen cracked. how little I pushed on the protective glass to get a bubble out. I had very little pressure and the screen broke but the protector did not. If this is how flimsy those screens are.
The screens are fairly robust, the same as your phone. Pinpoint pressure could cause a fracture. Any pressure applied to the screen that is not “touching with a finger” should be done so evenly and gently.
It's important to remove the film that came on the monitor at time of shipping and dust or grease and to work in a dust free (as much as possible) applying screen protectors to devices. We also recommend tools such as canned air, alcohol swabs and lens cloths to help aid in the process.
If an air bubble occurs (and there is no dust particle), it needs to be slowly moved by gently applying even pressure on the opposite side of the screen from the bubble using the flat side of your finger or using a flexible device such as a hotel room key or credit card and working slowly toward the edge (preferably a corner) with the bubble in the middle.
If dust is present the air bubble will not move. The protector needs to be gently and very slowly removed and the dust removed from the backing before trying to reapply. Tearing off the protector quickly could lift the panel out of the housing or cause damage.
We also recommend not removing the film on the adhesive side of the screen cover in its entirety, but to do it slowly and incrementally as the protector is applied. This will help with keeping dust out of the backing as well as assisting in allowing the protectors to seat in a Left <> Right fashion. Align the protector before removing the film to see how it is going to fit. Then align the corners and start on one side.
After it is applied completely, the protective film can not be removed and you can use an alcohol wipe and or a lens cloth to polish up the protector and you are all set to go.
