E2, 4K, 6K – ZCam, Blackmagic – Troubleshooting – 4k Signal Line on screen
The is a vertical line in the middle of the monitor screen that is stationary and cannot be removed or repositioned by any selection option in the monitor menus. This line is not being created by the E2 camera, as it is not visible when other HDMI monitors are used with the camera. (This line is easily seen passing through the center of the pillar stand of the basket support, in the attached photo.)
The black masking areas, which are visible on the Right/Left/Top/Bottom sides of the monitor screen have an adjustment error on the LEFT SIDE of the monitor screen. There is a small image “leak” between the black masking and the underlying HDMI image. I am not aware of any “user” adjustment that might move the LEFT masking so that the image “leak” would be eliminated.
I have reset the FOCUS HDMI 5” monitor to “Factory Settings” to eliminate any possibility that I had selected some menu options which may have created the above observed problems. After the reset, both described problems were still observed, unchanged by the reset.
The monitor is a 60hz panel, for best viewing results, the output signal form your camera should be 1080p 60fps or below.
UHD 4k (3840x2160) is only supported on FOCUS 5/7, 702Touch, Cine7 via HDMI only.
The line is caused by DCI 4K signal.
You can see what the format of the video you are receiving by swiping/joystick down on your monitor, in the upper left corner (when in pages view).
In this case the Black areas are being produced by the video format being output.
