RT CTRL.1 CTRL.3 – Teradek – How To – Using the Teradek RT1 Overlay Addon Tool
PROBLEM
How do I use my Teradek RT CTRL.1 with my SmallHD monitor?
SOLUTION
Your CTRL.1 or CTRL.3 will need a license from Teradek, which comes with the lens mapping rings. You can purchase that here:
https://teradek.com/collections/teradek-rt-carte
You will also need to activate the license at the website.
More information about using your CTRL.1/3 with a SmallHD monitor is available here:
https://support.teradek.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020392513-Teradek-RT-SmallHD-Integration
On your CTRL.1/3, you will also need to make sure the SmallHD mode is enabled.
MENU > ADV > SMALLHD > YES
*If Firmware on RT is 1.5 or later:
MENU > IO CONFIG > SMALLHD > YES
As well as selecting a lens map?
MENU > LENS > LENSMAP >SELECT > (edited)
Your monitor will need to be running firmware 3.4.0 or above. Connect the CTRL.1/3 to the monitor using the 5-pin LEMO to USB cable that came with your kit. If you did not receive this cable, please contact support@teradek.com. On a page, add a new tool. Select the puzzle piece icon for ADDONS, then add the TERADEK RT tool to your page. You can then adjust the settings for the tool like any other tool.
The RT CTRL.1/3 will send data over Micro USB or the 5pin adapter cable. The 703BOLT will require the 5pin cable. This cable should be labeled which end connected to the controller and which connects to the Monitor, if you are having connection issues, try flipping the cable.
